MLO 3 Literary and Cultural Knowledge.
Students develop a reasonable understanding of the ways of thinking (ideas, beliefs, attitudes, values, philosophies), the behavioral practices (patterns of social interactions), and the cultural products – both tangible and intangible (for example, art, history, literature, music) — of Hispanic societies
In order to complete this MLO 3. I took Span 306 (Culture/ Civ Span Ltn America), Span 316 (Cultures and Civilizations of Spain), Span 304 (Intro to Hispanic to Literature ) and Span 330 (Hispanic Testimonials).
Through these classes, I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge about different cultures, religion, language, and traditions. I also had the opportunity to acquire knowledge about historical events that marked the history of each country and that these events impact the way of life of its inhabitants. I learned about the term subaltern or what refers to those who lack political voice. This class impacted me greatly by learning about many events that I did not know about and what is important to know. I learned something else about Argentina, Chile, Spain, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru, Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.
